Silicon Graphics Image (SGI) files are used for raster graphics bitmap images developed by Silicon Graphics Inc, which went bankrupt in 2009. SGI image file format supports 8 to 32 bits per pixel and may be compressed using run-length encoding (RLE) compression algorithm for maximum storage efficiency. They may feature one, two, three color channels or even an alpha channel. Most SGI files are 512 bytes long and contain both a header and image data. The header contains details about dimensions, data size and image type that provide important context to understanding what's being shown onscreen.
Upload a file, click "Convert", and use additional options to quickly modify its contents before downloading the final SGI file after processing has completed.
Our SGI converter works on Windows, Mac OS, Linux, iOS and Android systems alike - our servers automatically process each file without requiring you to install plug-ins or applications!
We guarantee 100% of the privacy and have no access to your files once uploaded/converted, making them inaccessible by anyone and completely protecting them.
