A file with the extension of .XCF is a file created by the GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP). GIMP is a free program that allows you to edit paths, layers, transparencies, channels, and other sections of an image. XCF is a backward-compatible file format that supports all previous versions of GIMP files and may be forward compatible. This extension got the name XCF from the computer science students who created it, eXperimental Computing Facility. GIMP and CinePaint are free programs that can be used by Mac, Windows, or Linux users to edit an XCF file, including decompressing the file. Mac users can also use Seashore or XnView, both free programs. Windows users can also use CorelDraw Graphics Suite 2021, but it only has a free trial. Additional free programs for Windows users include XnViewMP and IrfanView. Linux users can also use Kolourpaint, which is free.
Enter a file, then click “Convert.” The additional options can be used to alter a file. Download the resulting XCF file after processing.
All operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS, Linux, iOS, and Android, can use the converter. Our servers process each and every file. You don't need to install any plug-ins or applications.
After twenty-four hours, we instantly delete your uploaded and/or converted files. Your privacy is guaranteed 100%, and no one has access to your information.
