Kodak PCD Image Format is an image file format used by them for saving photo scanning images onto Photo CDs. It combines five resolution versions of one photo into one compressed file (called an Image Pac). Each resolution version is stored hierarchically with Base/16, 4Base and 16Base serving as its lowest level bitmaps while higher level versions can be reconstructed using deltas from these lower level bitmaps reconstructed using deltas from their source images and each pixel represented using color encoded using gamma transformed YCC coding of each bitmap version stored hierarchically within an Image Pac.
