A DSS file is a compressed file format. It stands for Digital Speech Standard. It was developed by programmers at International Voice Association as a way to send compressed audio files without compromising quality or playback capabilities. DSS is usually used as a way to share a compressed audio file with others, such as through email. The file type is very commonly used in the Olympus Digital Speech Standard style format. It uses 16-bit mono sound and reduces traditional WAVE files between 1/12th and 1/20th of their size. Though this would normally compromise playback quality, DSS files both reduce the file size and maintain audio quality.
Enter a file, then click “Convert.” The additional options can be used to alter a file. Download the resulting DSS file after processing.
All operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS, Linux, iOS, and Android, can use the converter. Our servers process each and every file. You don't need to install any plug-ins or applications.
After twenty-four hours, we instantly delete your uploaded and/or converted files. Your privacy is guaranteed 100%, and no one has access to your information.
